Wong & Bendixen Pharmacy: Personal service is paramount

Andrew and his partners Jim and Mei Lee Wong are all qualified pharmacists along with Jim and Mei Lee’s daughter Leanne. Staff members include Amanda, the full-time shop manager, and Jo, the dispensary manager. Wong and Bendixen Pharmacy have been assisting customers achieve their health goals for 32 years and is one of the oldest established businesses in the shopping complex. “We know the Mount Waverley area very well and the people who live here. We now have third generation family members as customers,” Andrew said. Wong & Bendixen Pharmacy offer the full range of pharmaceutical services including dispensing advice on medicines and antibiotics, interaction checking and dosage checking. They also offer vaccination services for covid, shingles, influenza, meningococcal, whooping cough and other diseases and provide a medication packing and delivery service for local areas. Andrew said that providing advice to their customers is paramount. “It’s a key part of the business whether its medicines, simple ailments or prescriptions,” he said. “We enjoy the customer contact and being able to provide great service.” Wong and Bendixen Pharmacy boasts a wide range of gifts for men and women such as perfumes, after shave lotions, toiletries and cosmetics. They are sourced by Mei Lee from smaller suppliers and as such offer up a different range of products to most other pharmacies. Community-minded, Wong and Bendixen Pharmacy provide annual sponsorship for the Mount Waverley Bowling Club and donations to local schools to support their fundraising activities. Wong and Bendixen Pharmacy is open daily from 8.30am until 9pm during the week and from 9am to 6pm on weekends and public holidays.
